This is my Secret Santa gift for
solichan - not posted in the last possible minute, for once. Well, it's me, so there is some angst, and some weirdness, but there is a tiny amount of fluff to spice it up. So Happy Christmas (belatedly)!

I love the idea of exploring Sango-the-warrior and Sango-the-mother and how those two aspects will collide.
I agree with you and think that ultimately Sango will raise up beautiful little warriors and be an amazing, steadfast mother.
She's not typical, but that's exactly why Miroku fell for her. He wants those things in a partner and wants those things as integral to the mother of his children.
Very good story! :)

It's nice, too, to see the ways in which Miroku loves and supports her in spite of her lack of knowledge or "womanly" skills. I liked the honesty you showed between them. It's the sort of thing they didn't have the luxury of exploring while on their journey together. I like to think that Miroku became, if not an honest man, then at least a more honest man after marrying Sango.

Yeah, I think their relationship is therapeutic for the both of them, and developing that honesty is definitely a part of the healing process for him - coming out of that strange existence he led, and which required certain attitudes, and becoming a happy and fulfilled person.

The good humor in which Miroku takes her worries was a strong take. Obviously, he takes listening to her seriously, but also can help her to see the bright side too. (Too bad she was feeling just a little too emotional at the time to appreciate it.) Still, in the end, his comfort again proved true.
Love that, in the end, her children ended up defenders of the weak as well. Even if they don't become full-out taijiya, with parents like theirs, and especially Sango, they will never be unprepared to handle a crisis.

I think Sango handles crises well possibly because she is so serious all the time, and Miroku's slightly more light-hearted approach is part of what makes them complete each other so well.
