Talking cure

I know I've asked this in the past, but I am finally in a place financially to actually follow up:

Do you have a therapist you like? I'd prefer someone female, but am totally willing to go to a dude if they come highly recommended enough. If they take blue cross/blue shield, so much the better.

Suzanne Marcus in Arlington (absolutely no relation to me) was recommended to me a couple years ago when I asked around just like you are. She definitely accepts all sorts of insurance including BC/BS. At the time, I was having a profoundly hard time with the loss of a relationship and she really saved me. I don't think I've ever felt so comfortable with a therapist (in my limited experience). At one point I had some criticism of her, which I shared, and I was blown away with how well she took it and made things better. I have a lot of trust in that woman, I feel very at-home with her, and I learned a lot through the experience.

Thanks for posting. You're making me want to start making time for such things again. :) If only I wasn't so far from ArlingSomerCambervilletonbridge! Might check out this woman in Roxbury. Thank you both. :)

She's actually a client of mine, but if she weren't I'd totally consider seeing Myra Durkin, http://myradurkin.com/. I kind of love her a lot.

Sounds like you have some good recommendations. I have another one for you should you need another. She's in Arlington (east Arlington, actually) and I have no idea if that's convenient for you or not. I adore her. Some Blue cross plans cover her, some don't.

I'll out myself as the one who recommended Suzanne Marcus to zzyyfff a few years ago. She really is a treasure, and very easy to work with.
