Cooker and Cat. Separate like.

About three months ago, in a puff of electrical smoke, my cooker up and died. In an attempt to save money / lose weight I have largely ignored the fact that I have a very expensive large bench in my kitchen what used to cause yummy heat catalysed chemical reactions in edible things. So last week I booked a service call. Anytime between 8am and 6pm

nope. even though i called the company at 5.30pm, they said he was running late and will be here soon. now it's 7.45. I'm not letting him in even if he gets here now. *grrrr*

Interestingly, all of my cats that I have got as strays either at the door or a shelter have been completely incapable of swiping regardless of the terrible things I have to do to them, pills, ear drops, nail clipping, ass sorting etc they will cry and struggle and sulk afterwards but none have gone for me. The only ones that have were the ones we as a family got as kittens who had their grumpy times, I'm not sure what that says, either cats who have been strays will never risk that path again and will tolerate all to ensure a home or else some people bring up cats really well!!
