It's the oddest thing, having ME. The only thing I can even vaguely compare it to is when you've drunk yourself sober. When you've had two bottles of wine at 1pm, and now it's 7pm and you haven't been able to sleep it off, and you're nowhere near drunk any more because things have stopped being funny, but you know damn well you're still over the ( Read more... ) -

Today I am very excited as I have just found a music video for a song that Ivan did in the studio with a client about five years ago. He only ever came along to the studio two or three times. He's certainly got a sense of humour. :-)

Money, as ever
Being 31, I would have to confess to finding it bloody embarrassing having to hunt around for pennies on the floor so that I can buy milk.
It's also rather embarrassing having your phone and broadband cut off. I need the interbets.

Holidays
Even though I breathe the hugest sigh of relief when the children finish school for the summer (no effing effing school runs), I do find myself feeling like a prisoner in my own home. It's just such a bloody effort walking them to the bus stop half a mile away to actually go anywhere. And then there's this irritating weather where it constantly ( Read more... ) -
Burnt house
There will be before and after pictures but for now I leave you with the finished loft bathroom. The blackest room in the house. Including tiles, window, and inside the toilet cistern (which I replaced because it was busted anyway). I am tired to the bone.

Fire
On Saturday the tenants at my Mum's house accidentally started a fire. Either with a candle or with one of the heatlamps they were using for their wardrobe-cannabis farms. It is not covered by insurance because of negligence. My Mum's due to move back in in five weeks and get some lodgers, without whom she won't be able to afford the mortgage. ( Read more... )
