THAT MEANS THREE WEEKS FROM TONIGHT I WILL BE ON THE RADIO TALKING ABOUT THEM AGAIN

Oh, it's been awhile. But you get busy, stuff happens, you know how it is.

Still running the movie blog (going to be on the radio for Oscar time again), going to BCC, working the same job I've had since late April 2009...pretty much status quo. I'm 22 now, so there's that. If anything interesting happens, I'll let you all know.

This past Tuesday, I got up at the horrendous hour of 5 AM to spend a day at the latest addition to Islands of Adventure. In short, it was everything I had been hoping for since the first film premiered nearly a decade ago.
( Me dad's a Muggle, mam's a witch; bit of a nasty shock for him when he found out. )

SO MUCH TO TELL! Might miss a couple things, and have some random thoughts. Enjoy the photos and words.

( It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. )

The above video, a scene from last year's WHIP IT, briefly explains the rules of roller derby. After enjoying the movie so much I wished I could play the sport (a first for me) seven months ago, I finally got to see our local team, the Molly Roger Rollergirls, in action.

 So I went on a date yesterday. Even though it didn't turn out quite how I planned, it's good to know that when the time comes, I won't make an utter fool of myself.
