Jesus turned water into wine man. He was all about the boozin' and the partying. Why else would he have that superpower? And he multiplied bread so everybody at the party could pig in.
Religion isn't just about what happens after you die. Judaism, especially the more liberal Judaisms, have a "we'll find out when we get there" theory on death. Judaism has always stressed the here and now, has always stressed life a heck of alot more that death.
And I know there's other examples, just not ones I can think of off the top of my head.
I'm aware of that. Paganism and Satanism are also much more concerned with living in the moment. But can you find even one reason for a completely synthetic being to follow any religion, apart from having been programmed to do so?
Because it feels right/good. (I'm not referring to right as in right and wrong, but as in resonating with one's self or feeling good.)
This is why I follow my spiritual path. Personally, I don't think it makes any sense. I tried to squish my spirituality a while ago. It didn't work. All I know is when I do things that work with my spirituality (whether it's yoga or lighting Shabbat candles), I feel better in life. I feel more peaceful overall, I'm more okay with myself.

The Tentacles go to the Great Machine Shop in the sky. It's similar in concept to the Norse ideal of Afterlife-as-Perpetual Bar Brawl, but with the added possibility of reincarnation as a new contraption of some sort.

Because, if tentacles don't die, there's not much of a point in being religious, is there?
