~o~ Me, From a Christian Priest's Point of View ~o~

lol, I thought this was a bit funny, and I decided to post it. I found this list, which was composed by a Christian Priest, who feels my mates and I worship the devil. I just thought it was interesting how his point of view was so incredibly different and askew from what truly happened.

Why no, because he is a Muggle, and Lord knows all Muggles are dull, boring and useless!

Those people are nuts. I simply cannot believe that reading Harry Potter is a sin, just as killing someone. My sister is a Christian, goes to church twice every Sunday and sometimes during the week, and still loves Harry Potter. They obviously never read the books, or aren't able to get the important, good messages behind them. Humpf.

He's entitled to his own opinion, I just think it's a bit rich he puts himself in such a high position above everyone else that he feels he's in a place where he can rightfully put down somebody else's beliefs.

Wow. I think that must be the most ridiculous thing I have read in my life. As a practicioner of paganism and wicca, I have somewhat of a bias against people like that, who immediately assume that people like myself are going to hell because of our want to be involved with nature and its courses. Grr...

And the fact that he's trying to influence others to keep children and other people in general from the joys of reading is disgusting. My younger cousin hated reading until he read those books and now he can actually enjoy literature in some form. The fact that a person would want to destroy something like that is disgusting.

Hmph indeed!! :)

Harry Potter books and the Bible have a great deal in common, actually...

One happens to be that they are both bestsellers.

As for all that blather, don't let it bother you, Harry... I enjoyed your lampooning above, and these kinds of people need to stir up some dust to get attention and be noticed, so we can laugh about it and move on.

*rolls eyes*

I would like to say that I, too, have a great respect for all religions of the world that empower people and give them a sense of purpose, a community, and an outlet for their spirituality. Brainwashing or convincing people that perfectly harmless things are somehow "bad" or "wrong" and that people can't think for themselves or make their own decisions...THAT is one thing I can't abide. If a "priest" came up with the above list, I surely hope his "cult" can see through his insecurity.

Thanks! As always, you are in my best interest...and we must protect our interests, mustn't we?

Otherwise, we could be dealing with more Death Eaters than we can all handle...
