~o~ Me, From a Christian Priest's Point of View ~o~

lol, I thought this was a bit funny, and I decided to post it. I found this list, which was composed by a Christian Priest, who feels my mates and I worship the devil. I just thought it was interesting how his point of view was so incredibly different and askew from what truly happened.

1) The animal sacrifice of a cat.

I'm a Christian, and I think it's sad and pathetic that someone would go to such lengths in attempting to make certain "facts" fit into their point of view. If I recall, there are animal sacrifies in the Bible. I've gone to parochial schools all my life, and with the exception of one or two items, I don't remember ever being taught that most of those things were immoral. Some people need to just get a life.

Apparently all Muggles need a life in this man's opinion. Have I told you how useless you were today?

What an arse.

Your responses to those were extremely funny, thank you :) And I may be forgetting it, because my memory isn't the best... but where the hell did #19 come from? WHAT is he referring to?

I think he was referring to when Malfoy looked at the hand of glory in Borgin and Burkes. No one used it ... he just fancies making stuff up.

There's also the part in the second movie where Daniel Radcliffe, portraying Harry, gets thrown into Knockturn Alley by mispronunciation of "Diagon Alley" when he was first attempting to Floo... The "Hand of Glory" is on the mantle, and he grabs it... Scared the bejeezus out of me when I saw it in theatres though.

And for that priest to know that fact, he's had to watch the movies and read the books many times. And that's just downright pathetic.

2) Non-magicians like you and I (Muggles) are portrayed as dull, boring, cruel or useless.

Sir, by writing this bizarre thing you claim is in some way related to the Harry Potter books makes you sound extremely:
-Dull
-Boring
-Useless
Don't know about cruel, but dude, three out of four! Way to perpetuate Muggles' bad PR image!

Also, numbers 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 confuse the fuck out of me. In all those cases, the examples he thinks indicative of an eeeeeevil book are performed by THE BAD GUYS. It's specifically a, "Look! Cutting your own hand off is a bad thing! Done by bad people! You shouldn't take part in it, because then you'll be bad!" sort of point. Does this mean that the Bible is eeeeevil Satanist propaganda for having the story of Cain and Abel because, you know, attaching a clear negative connotation to an act you want to deter people from committing is still evil because you MENTIONED THE ACT. Oh. My. God. Whatever shall we do?

6) Boiling a baby or fetus alive in a cauldron.

... What book was this man reading?He seems to ( ... )

lol, yeah I kind of got number six ... but really, he looked nothing like a baby. I mean, what really makes me mad is how he blew everything out of proportion, and even sunk to the level of lying in the hopes parents wouldn't allow their child to read a book. That's just sad.

I'm glad you found me witty though, I tried, lol.

as faras the dull muggle things go, i do believe he has forgotten that Mr. Weasley postively fascinated with muggles. He loves them. He admires how much they have to go through. So as far as Christian priets go, all i have to say is: The bible is a second hand source that has been written and rewritten so many times to single-handedly undermine and control the people reading it. So does thinking for myself make me a devil-worshiper? It doesn't matter what your answer is cause i still will think for myself. I also amnot trying to fooend anyone just make you see that i think for myself and don't much like anyone critizing my Harry Potter.

If he's condemning (sp?) anyone who has actually read the book... then he is also going to hell. He read the series to take the info, right? People just contradict themselves. Eeeek!

I don't think he read the books very closely, judging by about half the things he said.
