and indeed, we have been talking for a bit about it, i just figure that certain things i may be assumed to know, when in fact i do not. like a taxi- i have no idea what proper taxi etiquette is, and probably won't until i actually use a taxi.
come on, you're a fiance, you should have at least some intellectation to impart.
ahah well this is my first technical girlfriend, who i am able to introduce to people as my girlfriend, and is more than just a girl i am hanging out with. (as i have hung out with a great many girls... though um i am supposed to hang out with other girls less, i imagine.)
Also, asking for advice about relationships in LJ is only marginally better than seeking said advice from GBS.
Besides, no matter how much advice you get from people, you are still doomed to make your own mistakes. Really, the only thing that makes a romantic relationship different from any other is the kissing part. Otherwise, its all basically the same. If you can relate well with other people anyway, you'll be fine. Accept that you have differences, be open and honest, and things will work out fine, even if they don't work out the way you intend. Shoot, I could write pages upon pages of stuff about relationships. Probably none of it right, but hey, its a fun topic.
But really, you are just better off watching Sex and the City if you are looking for some real insight. Trust me on this.
and i figured if it's on the floor, then people can and will talk with me about it in person too (though not you of course, mr. on the other side of the world)
shelly and i claimed we were courting, and yet at the same time claimed to just be friends- yeah i guess its taken a while for me to honest with myself, that i'm not an asexual monk, and that's ok. same as how diana and i couldn't admit to dating or else she'd have been pulled out of college. open and honest is right
and sorry, i really dislike sex and the city, so i'll listen to your better half and watch When Harry Met Sally , fair enough?
The fact that Mark now refers to the subject of relationships at all makes me all warm and cozy inside. I hear the little choir in heaven singing something remarkably similar to Handel's Allelujah Chorus...ANGELA IS MY HERO!!!

I thought you had a girlfriend a few years ago? Am I wrong? Meh.
And Angela is right about me... I have no clue about any of this.
