We picked up Buckley from his foster mom last week at the Wisconsin border (he was living in Iowa before).  Things are going quite well with him: he's fitting in and playing nicely, switched quickly to a better quality dog food, and getting more sure of himself each day, which means we get to see more of his personality.  He's hilarious and quite ( Read more... )

Sunday marks the one year wedding anniversary, but we have already exchanged gifts.  I got Jeff seasons 1 and 2 of Smallville and he got me season 2 of Mad Men to go with the season 1 I got from Amber for birthdays.  He should go get me season 3 so I can finally watch it.  Besides, I'm the one home all the time, basically.

Snickers got sick this weekend.  It looks like the anti-inflammatory medication he's been on for his arthritis has finally taken its toll on his GI tract.  The vet said that it looks like we reacted quickly enough, as we didn't give him the meds as soon as he starting getting sick and we got him in first thing yesterday morning.  Hopefully, this is ( Read more... )

Jeff's almost done with his training for the Fitchburg fire department.  We had a family informational meeting there with the chief last night, which was entertaining.  The chief seems like a decent guy who appreciates that most of his department is made of volunteers with families and they can't make every call and doing family stuff is important ( Read more... )
