Oh my god, the tension even from the start... How Akira felt when he reached for the stone and braced himself. It felt so real. My heart kept beating fast myself! ...what was the stone? How could it have that much power?

And Hikaru. Dear, dear Hikaru. Every single detail of his explanation of his studies are the exact reason of why I would love, love, LOVE so much magical studies had there be some in my life. I want to be Hikaru if just to get those lessons! *bites lip*

I. Love. Kuwabara. I knew it! Kuwabara is, I think, the most caring elder to Hikaru. From Akira's father it was recognition, from Ogata it was thrill and excitement (oh, I can't get the one word to express it...) But from Kuwabara, from the first time, he sensed Hikaru. In manga, and here. I love that old man so, so much

Who doesn't love Kuwabara? I actually had a really hard time writing him this time around, and you have my betas to thank for creating the seamless section you read here. Before that the quality was... best left unsaid.

I wish I could have magical studies too! I dreamed of it all my life, and Harry Potter made it that much more tantalizing. Oh well, I at least got the discussion portion in my lessons that so many kids are deprived of. It's not magic, but it was infinitely more enlightening and enjoyable than memorization!

And yes, Gokiso was the one who sold the fake Kaya goban and forged Shuusaku's signature.

As for the smut... you know, I'm not sure. It started out that way, but the story since then has changed beyond recognition. I'll have to see what I can do to add it in without destroying the story.

Yeah, Harry Potter's description of their magical lessons makes me drool, always. Memorization? UGH. I always wait for my english classes when my other friends don't solely for the discussing part.

I really enjoyed this chapter! I'm sorry I didn't get to finish betaing it I seem to not have much free time when I have guests but it feels polished to me. I like the edits to the Shindou / Kuwabara part, lol at the old cunning man.

The Gokiso confrontation scene is very intense. I can't wait to see read what happens.
