Maggie is about one year old now. She's definitely a cat and not a kitten. She's very responsible and has a pretty serious sense of propriety. Dan got a new kitten a few weeks ago and Maggie has been upset daily by his impolite behavior. Nice. It shows on the LJ homepage just how derelict I have been. 7 weeks, evidently. I am listening to Spoon right now. I went out to dinner with a very nice woman tonight and she suggested I try them out. I have and they are good.

Kristin is back from Aruba, and Dan's plane lands in about 4 hours. So soon I will have company in my apartment again. We'll be moving the last of the stuff on Thursday, which means that I'll be sleeping on a mattress again by the end of the week ( Read more... )

I'm staying at my new place tonight for the first night. I installed curtains on all the windows, and I've got hot water and gas for the stove. The new place even has a dishwasher (ooh!). Yesterday I waited for 8 hours for the guy from the gas company to come. He was supposed to be at the new place between 8am and 1pm. He ended up showing up at 4:00.
