ok, silly question but cant u just scan it in black and white and then the scanner will ignore the fine differences in shadings of paper? also class participation is how kutztown inforces its attendance policy. technically we dont have an attedance policy here but if u arent in class u cant participate, or so the they think!
No, scanning in black and white actually heightens the imperfections - it just turns the paper out speckly, or if you turn down the cutoff then the lines i draw don't all show up since they aren't all very dark.
Well, if you're still set on coloring in the computer, this is my advice (tried and tested). What I do for Plan B, is sketch the comic in pencil, then ink the outlines in a bold, acid free marker. Next I erase all pencil marks (as much as I possibly can) and scan. Save the image as PNG, which I prefer b/c JPEG is messy and GIF screws with the coloring. Next I email them to Anna's laptop for coloring in Photoshop, but if you have PSP in the computer, you can just open the image and have at it.
Though, I kind of like the pencil style...very MegaTokyoish, just without all of Piro's whiny bitching. Haha. I hate that fucker. Anyway, Trent the EmoGoth will be all hand done since Matt seems to like it that way, so not coloring is fine too.

What we both need, I think, is a tablet. :)
