Met with a competent doctor today. He located the chip, made a note for future reference, and scheduled an MRI. He confirmed what the original orthopedic physician had said. I've discarded the walking boot. It cuts off the circulation to my ankle, and thus serves no real purpose. This is, of course, due to the fact that I like it tight... and tight sacrifices circulation. By now, I figure that I can't hurt it anymore than it already is just by walking ( Read more... )

Last night I decided to disregard the doc's advice. I took off the boot/splint/support and tied on my real boots, my Doc Martens, then grabbed a bit of cash and took off.
