a few weeks ago i decided that i would like to write something big about mental illness in my zines. i had my first real talk with my mother about it, i've been thinking more about myself, i've been taking a lot of deep breaths. and it seems like right after i began trying to map all of this out, i started getting a few zines where people were

oh also -- did you pick up two zines by my fellow zine symposium organizers: "word salad: a journal of mental health" by comyn henry and "swingset girl #7" by my other friend sarah? they were both on the mental health and zines panel at the symposium. (did you get to go to that? i didn't but heard it was great) i can get you copies of both or give you addresses if you want.

i did get swingset girl, which was amazing and helped prompt my desire to make a contacts list. i'm planning to write sarah a letter once i get more organized (did you know my uncle is schizophrenic?). word salad looks amazing. i will have to track a copy down. i didn't go to the workshop, and i totally should have. i didn't go to any workshops. i am dumb. oh well. thanks!
