you made me ice cream once! oh and we put something in your envelope slot once! oh and your boyfriend djed and we all danced crazy like! oh and then you djed and we danced all crazy like! yeah!!
i remember being 13 and writing long-ass letters to you, and us saying we were going to do a baa!: i'm a sheep/sisphyean garbage split and then never doing it. i remember SO MANY THINGS. you were a big chunk of my adolescence. i'm glad i still know you.
i completely agree with those last two sentences. seriously.
and i have to work on saturday night rather than go to see miranda july. will you be spending any chunk of the day in the city? i will be available from 5pm-7pm. before 5 i'm at doe, and afterwards i'm at the ice cream parlor. 12 hour work days are awesome!
i think my first solid "hanging out with sarah" situation was when i was probably like 15 and you came to my house with a tank girl tape. theres other stuff but that sticks out for me the most.
PS- my car was actually stolen in south bay, presumably by racing dicks who like honda parts.

I'm pretty sure the first time I saw you was across the Sonora High Gym at a pep rally. Your desire to be somewhere else was radiant. I was a confused freshman straight out of private gradeschool and not really sure if I was supposed to want to be there or not, then I saw you and realized I probably didn't, and neither did you, so that was alright, but you were acrossgym from me and there were probably cheerleaders or something equally deadly separating us, so there it remained. Then there was a Christian teen center downtown that a now longgone friend invited me too, and he said they had a variety of free video games, and I was probably really high, so I agreed, and there was Marlene pulling me away from Roadblasters, saying it was time to sit in a circle and talk about god, and there you were across the circle. Your desire to be somewhere else was radiant. And I was no stranger to having religion forced upon me. I made stupid jokes and you laughed, so I kept making them, and I very clearly remember thinking that I would have to

Then I had been miserable at UCSC for a year when you posted on this very LJ that you needed another roomate to move into an apartment near the beach in San Francisco, and I told all of my dorm buddies that very night that I was dropping out. Then there was all kinds of awful and the fear of coming home to a dead body with a recriminating note and she threw a telephone at me and told us we were horrible people, and you and I and Tom all spooning on my bed together waiting for things to get better. I threw you into the ocean once. It was winter. Sorry about that. Tom coerced us all into getting drunk at ten in the morning on a weekday. We called it Skullhead Breakfast. I came home one night emotionally destroyed because our mutual friend was refusing to love me, and you gave me hug, and told me it was going to be alright, and I believed you, and felt better. Peter and I helped you vomit in the men's room of the Beauty Bar on your birthday, then refused to let you get a cab home, for some reason which remains a mystery to us all
