rainy weekends with my parents' music

Tried to visit the sheep station this weekend but was rained out. Dad was thrilled, all the dams are full, but mum and I were stuck in town. I had taken a friend visiting from OS to see the Outback so she got the local cultural delights instead. That included a visit to one of the social clubs for steak and chips where we made her play the pokies.

What about speed sheep-shearing for your OS friend?

My kiwi boyfriend from Masterton always claimed that NZ sheep were prettier because of all the rain.

hmmm, I will refrain from the usual rude jokes about New Zealanders and sheep. Wet wool and shearing in the rain does not strike me as a good idea, plus the dirt roads meant we weren't getting anywhere near the sheep!
