i just realized that i was proofreading the old testament while listening to kylie minogue. and something about that made me enormously happy.

proofreading early english books is part of my job, "can't get you out of my head" is an irresistible song, and i may have been happy either because that moment was totally absurd, yet strangely perfect, or because i'd already been proofing the bible for four straight hours. probably a little of both.

well, actually, proofread isn't the right word. but i can't think of a better way to describe what i do right now.

and if for some reason it wasn't, you'd think after a few thousand years someone would have gotten around to proofreading it. but no, the task falls to alexis jakobson.

you know, normally that would seem like a very strange combo, but on you it just kinda fits.... I appreciate that about you.

boy, your lovin' is all i think about...

this reminds me of a recent conversation i had with ethan about a man i work with who goes to church daily and spends six hours a day reading the bible, and how if i was his wife i would tell him to spend a little less time with god and a little more time with me. i believe i referred to his behavior as "creepin' with god."

oh my god, the text that i worked on yesterday was so totally perfect for you, i almost emailed it. it was a guide to something like a 16th century version of macrobiotics AND made reference to spirit animals!! although i didn't really understand what it was saying about them.

Did you know that if you add up the letters in the word attitude you get 100?
