[Whoever screwed up Sergei's did Herz something of a favor. After his
absolutely pathetic attempt at a brawl the other night, he's more than happy to find the restaurant deserted, but still in need of his attention.
He knows if he left the mess long enough, the Stewardess or another invisible ship hand would see to it's repair, but he wants to

He shoulders a door open, glancing to where he can hear someone moving about. The lack of lighting has him alert, in case he just wandered in on a person whose privacy is sacred.]
Hullo?

WW-w-whh-w-we're clos--
Close--Closed.
[...fucking stutter got worse again.]

[He scratches behind an ear, placing that voice--
Aaaah.
Sean wonders if the boy stuttered before the whole fiasco, or if he's just delicate, or a mix of both. In any case, he's going with the initial impression of Herz not being the most outgoing guy.]
No need to get all shook up. By my estimate, you'll be needin' as much help as you can afford.
[He toes a slimy patch.]

Fuck.
Fuck.
Herz doesn't reply, just...goes back to his scrubbing. He's not shook up, okay? And he doesn't need your help. But, you know, you're free to keep nudging the neurotic. He apparently doesn't have any concerns to voice.
Or a voice to project those concerns.]

He's about to leave it alone, seeing it dark, when he sees a shadow move, and walks through the doors after a moment, calling out.]
Hey, anyone here? ....And need help?

He can see you, but you can't see him, and he's grateful for it. Herz isn't sure what to do with you, Cecil. How he should feel about you showing up now.
...granted, Cecil wasn't there for his beat down. Maybe he can play it cool. Maybe it'll be okay.]
hhh-h-hh-heh--hey--hey.
[...or not.]

Frowning, he steps forward, one hand outstretched to feel his way towards the voice.]
Herz? You okay there, buddy?
And who turned out the lights -- ow!
[Cecil jams his hip into the side of a table and lets out a small hiss, pausing his movement.]

Hold--h-hhhh-h-hold-hold--hold on. I'll--
[Herz navigates the dark restaurant easily, heading to the nearest wall and flipping on the light. The teen turns around, squinting back at Cecil. The splint over his nose and the bruise on his neck are now both easy to see.]

Is there anyone here? Hello?

You'd think the lack of lights would be enough of a deterrent, but apparently Sergei's is just this well loved.]
Whh--w-w--w-we-we're--we're--we're clll--closed.
Sssorry.

I gathered as much. Worry not, I'm not here to eat. Do you need any help cleaning up?

If he wasn't so concerned with not talking, he would probably have realized a head shake is pretty pointless in dark friggin' room.]

...sounds like Herz. Crap, he doesn't want to scare him. So he puts some distance between them and knocks on the nearest surface.]
Hey, Herz. That's you, right?
Reply
He doesn't want to face you, man. He fucked up.]
Uh--u-uh-huh.

Everything all right? Are your eyes bothering you?

Herz worries his hands as he stumbles through his answer, spitting out his syllables with pronounced pauses and increasing difficulty.]
Nnno--no, I...juh--j--just thhh--
Thought, I'd--
I-I--I--
["No, I just thought, since I'm the only one in here, there's no reason to put them on. And hopefully, it'll signify to people we're closed for the day."
There's no way in hell that's getting out of his face. Not today. He cuts himself short, for his sake and Leo's.]
No. NNn-no, they--they aren't.

Ah, sorry.

[It's light a flashlight to the face with all of no warning. Herz covers his eyes a second too late and attempts to blink the stars away.
THANKS, MARCO.]

*Marco flicks the lights back out, though he doubts it'll help at this point.*
Sorry, I didn't realize you were in here. You okay?
Reply
f--
fine.
[After a small head shake, Herz starts over to turn the lights back on himself. You see, it's muuuch faster than him trying to tell you to turn them on yourself.]
