I hope everyone in Italy only wants to talk about whether or not they want to get something to eat, when they may or may not want to get something to eat, and whether or not they want to get something to eat at my place or their place.

Nothing like trying to learn a foreign language to make you feel completely retarded.

The weather has been incredible lately and promises to be so for the next week at least, so I spent the morning (and the early part of the afternoon) washing and waxing my car. I just got back from my 2nd autocross of the weekend. The BMWCCA had one yesterday out at Texas Motor Speedway (just the bus lot, not the track), and the Porsche club had one today. I'm now listening to the new Radiohead album In Rainbows that I named my own price for and downloaded directly from them. It took about 4 seconds to download and is in DRM-free 160kbps mp3. Take that iTunes.

As a joint bday present from the parents and inlaws I got a Dell 2407WFP-HC. It is, in a word, glorious.

Other words that also apply: large, huge, amazing, magnificent.

Now I have to buy a better computer to make pretty things run smoothly on it.

The only problem with Metroid Prime 3 so far is that it is so amazing that I played it for many hours in a row and then my arm fell off.

Once I regrow a replacement I'll be right back to it.

Well Transformers fucking sucked. I hoped like hell it wasn't going to be a Michael Bay movie, but it was a Michael Bay movie.
