There is a rather large Asian influence here on Oahu. On December 31 I got to witness first hand what a Hawaii New Year is like, fireworks from before dusk to about 2 in the morning. Last Saturday was the Chinese New Year and is evidently quite a fun time down in Chinatown. Co-workers were encouraging me to go down for the festivities, but with

I thought New Year's Day was a Pagan Holiday; the traditional Feast of Bowl Games.
