We're Okay

Just to let everyone know that Taylor and I are alright. The earthquake woke me up this morning, but I remembered that we live at the top of a huge hill and didn’t have to worry about a tsunami. So I went back to sleep while Taylor went to make me breakfast in bed. A little bit late an aftershock took out the power on the entire island of Oahu and

I am glad to hear you guys are doing alright. I have been in an earthquake before, but luckily have not experienced a massive raw sewage dump disaster.

Having the power go out in a tourist trap would probably be a boon for street musicians who play acoustic instruments. Bored tourists, wandering the streets in search of diversion, would be easy prey for an old-fashioned sing-along.

In all seriousness, Lisa and I are glad you're okay. Living without electricity, running water, and interwebs can be fun~ as long as it's by choice, at the right time, and in small doses.

Glad you're ok. :) I'm revisiting LJ after years and years and as long as the RSS feed works hopefully I can catch up with you both. A co-worker of mine went to HI in September and I thought of you both.
