Just wanted to say hey to all my LJ friends it has been forever since I have poster anything, have been very busy with my new job but I am still alive.

I am getting ready to head out for the second week on the State Police Academy. The first week was interesting needless to say, PT every morning for an hour, then from 7-8 we have to get a shower, breakfast and flag rasing in before 8 but it can be done and I have been doing very well. This past Friday I was sworn in as a police officer and received my commision card. Now I start the state academy for 10 weeks starting tommrow. So come March 16th I will graduate from the state academy and be P.O.S.T. certified. I am nervous right now but ready to start it and get it out of the way.

I get sworn in tommrow and become a commisioned officer. Next stop is the state academy for 10 weeks starting sunday.

Today I got certified to carry an ASP Baton, 8 hours of pure fun. We started out by reading some about it and the diffrent strikes and stances and all that fun jazz. Got to go to the Titans game today, woot! My uncle has season tickets and they are right on the field, now that I am trianing with the PD I have my weekends open to go to the games so I am very happy about that ( Read more... )

All righty folks today was my first day with the Hendersonville PD and it was great! There are only 5 of us which is nice, today was just basic things, and a tour of the police department, the Captain talked to us for an hour and we got our 3 big ass notebooks of stuff we are going to be learning. Got the call from Hendersonville PD today I report on Oct. 27th for my first day. I am now offcially a police recruit!!

Tonight I am celebrating with my parents and I will havce to celebrate with friends but have now decided to keep it low key and nothing to crazy.

My friend Michael is coming down here thursday from Knoxville he has an early flight out of Nashville International so he is going to crash here thursday night and you know what that means....drinking!
