OMG X-FILES! I can't even decide if I'm more in love with Mulder or Scully.

I love them both pretty equally...although I really dig Mulder's really dry sense of humor.

I'll definitely be going to see it. I was very excited to hear of the potential for a new x-files movie when the story first popped on Fark. I am slightly disappointed that it won't be dealing with the mythos that had been built up through the series, but I suppose they feel that they've probably all ready covered that ground.

But yes, looking forward to it.

I think they're trying to avoid the mythology part of it because it got so unwieldly that they didn't know what to do with it.

Aagh! I'm super excited about the movie, too! We definitely need to take a group trip to see it! (Side note: I can't believe I'm an X-files fan! It's just weird b/c I always knew it as "that aliens show that's on Fox all the damn time" throughout my adolescence. So it's weird that I'm now in my 20s and just now starting to watch it.)

Definitely group trip! I actually didn't start watching it until the second season because I thought the show was like a sci-fi version of COPS (where they investigated reports of supernatural phenomenon) and I wasn't interested in it at all. I think it was the episode Pusher (in the third season- with the badass russian roulette scene at the end and lots of Mulder/Scully 'shipping) that really got me hooked. I'd like to think I'm a hard-core fan, though, because I started watching before they moved the show to Sunday. I was the nerd at home watching on Friday night- oh, yeah.
