Since I am an insomniac, I stay up late at night prowling the internet. Usually I am sprawled on my bed with the Mac open to Facebook or some other stalkerspace. I caved. I went to the mall. Even though I live in New York City, the capital of consumerism and buyisms, it is comforting to shop at my hometown mall. The large buy-it-all-here stores are a relief from the bodegas and specialty shops I find in Brooklyn. I wrote a post tonight, but I erased for fear of being sued over its contents. Not that it is liable, but more that if the something bad I predicted happens it will be evidence that could be used against me in the court of law. Thanks law school and lawyer knowledge, I am now and forever will be paranoid.

Tonight I learned, from Facebook nonetheless, that the Saugerties High School's mascot was changed from an old drunken hick to a SAW! It is bad enough that no one knows what a Sawyer is, but now our mascot is a saw? How do you cheer for a saw? How does a saw run around the football field revving up the crowd?
