Handclap games?

May 08, 2012 18:30

Hey, ladies (or the rare guy) on my f-list - do you remember any of those handclap games from elementary school? Some of the girls here want to learn them, and I can't remember them for the life of me.

(I think I remember Miss Mary Mack, but...)

japan, help plz

Coincidentally (or not), Jo just recently linked me here: http://funclapping.com/

Miss Mary Mack I remember. Also "my father went to sea, sea, sea" and "There's an egg on your head and the yolk dribbles down, the yolk dribbles down, the yolk dribbles down."

Not a coincidence. Someone posted that link to the Facebook version of this same post, and I felt it should be shared further.

If you need help on Mary Mack, I know that one

I also know Miss Susie(actually I just did it a week or two ago :-P). And wikipedia just reminded me of Down, Down Baby.

You want emails, or just really long comments?

Hmm.. maybe Miss Suzy, the one with all the dirty (by grade-school standards) double-ententdres might actually be useful?

Well, I got through an admirable amount of transcribing this from memory, but then it occurred to me it's probably online somewhere. Ayup. Upon re-reading it, though, dunno if it would be appropriate for your purposes or not.

It would be poor form for me to not know Miss Mary Mack, but that's the only one I know and it looks like you've got that covered.
