That was pretty cool...as was just where the wand Riddle used to kill his parents came from, and how powerful he was to be able to implant the 'memory' of the killings into his uncle's head.

So much power. Is Harry this powerful? Can he defeat this kind of skill?

And how he found out who his father was and where he lived. I always wondered that every time I read the first chapter of GOF...

Oh, dear, I hope this isn't going to turn out to be another "secret" like the prophecy. Gee, Harry is destined to kill Voldemort. We TOTALLY hadn't guessed that already. I'm sure this is going to be the same. Tampered memory #1: Slughorn really says "You'll be a great wizard, Tom, my boy, and I hope you'll never forget what I've done for you" and Tampered memory #2: Slughorn tells Tom all about Horcruxes, and they're some sort of nasty thing, perhaps related to dementor breeding.

Blah, blah. All these secrets and anyone with half a brain can figure them out.

I do love the shoddy memory tampering, though. What a neat idea.

hahaha, word. But, it is an indirect way for us, the readers, to find out wha the Horcruxes are, or even DD and co if they dont already know (which I doubt).

"Yes, Harry, blessed as I am with extraordinary brainpower, I understood everything you told me," said Dumbledore, a little sharply.

ALBUS DUMBLEDORE = RODNEY MCKAY

I am just now realizing that Dumbledore is showing Harry memories in Parseltongue, and he knows what they are. Therefore, Dumbledore is a Parselmouth.

I knew that there was something I didn't notice. Damn.

And the reference to Greyback back in the Christmas chapter. I've got to slow down the reading.

"He accused me of being 'Dumbledore's man through and through.'"

"How very rude of him."

"I told him I was."

I can just imagine Harry with "Property of Dumbledore" tatooed somewhere intimate. . .
