I really liked that. At first, I was not sure I was going to...but as I continued to read I got rather lost in the story, and all of a sudden it was done and I was smiling at how it was written (and especially how you ended it). I loved the way it was written, too (which again, I wasn't to keen on when I started reading it). Very well done, and I'm glad I gave it a chance!!

That is so sad. =(

But I'm glad that these parallels met and I felt so bad for Albus! Ahh! I'm just glad Draco actually approached Harry about the problem. I do wish that there was an explanation about Ginny's behavior, but nonetheless, this was a good way to get Harry to break into his own path to bond with Draco.

Even as a short story, this worked really well. Nice job!

A part of me wanted people to wonder. *g* And another part of me didn't want to ... end up 'justifying' her behaviour, if that made sense. Because if I gave a really neat idea as to why she did it, then it would almost be excusing her behaviour. I don't think either Harry or Draco would ever understand even if she did have a 'legitimate' reason.

What a sinister look behind the white picket-fence façade. I admire greatly how you wove together so plausibly the story of Albus' abuse with the love story between Harry and Draco - it felt very natural, as if Harry's naive dream of a perfect nuclear family had to be shattered to allow him to find the life he really wanted to live. Like others, I would have liked to see more of what was behind Ginny's abuse of her younger son. I can see how she might vent her frustrations with Harry on the son who looks most like him - but she would have to be at a very, very dark place to do so. The other secret of the story is of course Draco's job at the Ministry - was he a hit wizard? Or perhaps an informant about the Death Eaters? You see, I've been thinking a whole lot about this story :-). It's definitely intriguing and begging for a longer, more detailed fic.

About Draco's job, my original idea was that he was an intelligence agent of sorts. He'd start off as an informant about the Death Eaters, and he thought he was doing the right thing so was okay with it, but then as he went on, he realised that the Ministry really wasn't so much better and tended to use the 'ends justifies the means' reasoning a bit too much. Plus, it took him away from his family. :) But again, it was supposed to be open-ended, Draco could have been pencil pushing. :p

*g* I'm glad you liked it! ♥

I'm sure Ginny had her reasons. People always tend to justify things like this to themselves. :(
