So my 7 year old Hyundai has slowly been developing more frequent problems and I'm in the last 1200 miles of it's 100,000 mile warranty on the transmission so Sebastian and I have been researching and looking for a new car for the past few months.  We were between the 2010 Toyota Prius and an 08 Hyundai Elantra.  We actually ended up today going

Still driving the Diesel modified Mercedes?

Yep... although, it's really not modified for burning vegetable oil anymore... remember the time a couple years ago you came up to visit, and I was supposed to pick you up in Plymouth but couldn't, because my car overheated en route? I got the engine replaced shortly thereafter (from an '81 with "only" 145K on the odometer) and have been running regular diesel or biodiesel blends ever since. Our cars do have one thing in common though... they both start without a key! Of course, that's because the ignition assembly on mine was jamming so severely and frequently that I removed it and now start the car with a pair of needle nosed vise grips... but, uhh... same basic concept. Or something.
