[Kotomi hesitates for a moment before continuing.]

I acknowledge the existence of parallel worlds, but...I didn't think it was...theoretically possible to get transported to one. Then again, there is much we as humans do not understand about the ways of our big, big universe...I suppose that is why we ache to learn.

[When Kotomi decides to look into Yamame's room...she's going to come upon what she might consider a horrid sight.]

[The room is dark, the shutters kept close. If a light is turned on or the blinds opened Kotomi will be treated to a room that is heavily coated in spider webs, mostly in the corners of the room, and around/underneath furniture.]

[Kotomi may also notice a rather large number of spiders that will skitter off to their hiding places....and at the epicenter of it all a young blonde girl sleeping on the bed wrapped in spider webs as well. She doesn't appear to be dead, but she is sleeping soundly.]

[Well, um...she's more confused than scared, to be honest. Really the only things that scare Kotomi are other people being loud and rude.]

[So she slowly enters the room, making sure to not step on any of the spiders, or tangle herself in the webs.]

Um...hello? [She pokes the girl on the bed gently.] A-Are you awake?

[thug_disease]

[The young lady grumbles, shifting about in her cocoon of webbing.]

No Parsee-nee lemme 'lone.

[She will get a soft shaking this time, rather than just a poke.]

Little girl, please, um...I-I'm sorry, I'm not your oneechan...P-Please wake up.

[Yamame opens her vivid red eyes, looks up at the newcomer to the household...]

[...and immediately bursts forth from her next of webbing, instantly awake.]

[This person seemed pretty young but finally, MAYBE, someone was coming along to replace the horrible horrible creepy Parsee drone.]

Who are you? Are you the new mom person? My name is Yamame! Please don't step on the spiders!

[She's doing her whole "hyperactive young girl" schtick, however she's mostly just excited that the drone might be getting out of the house finally.]

[Kotomi tugs awkwardly on the knitting of her -suit- jacket. Of course, it was horrifying waking up in bed with some strange man, so she'd just grabbed whatever to put over her nightgown and sped out of the room.]

I-I will not step on your spiders, Yamame-chan. I am Kotomi. Um...mom? I'm afraid I don't know what's going on. When I woke up, there was some strange man in my bed...or, er, it was not my bed at all...

Yep! Kotomi-san is in a place called Mayfield and now you live in Yamame's house!

I know it's scary but Yamame will be nice to Kotomi-san so you don't have to be scared okay? Yamame is very strong!

Um...this place makes you have to be in a house with a pretend family. Oh and if you do something wrong like stuff they don't want you to do you get turned into what they call a drone! You're still you...except you act like the creepy empty people. You have to come back to your house every once in a while to avoid that too, I think!

Yamame just plays and has fun, because this is the first time I've gotten to live on the surface!

[She's just going to take a seat on the floor, not caring about the spiders and webs, and kind of ease into the fetal position. Denial, yay!]

[Now Yamame is worried.]

Ah! Kotomi-san it's okay! [Yamame sits on her knees next to the woman, putting her hands on her and gently shaking her.]

No no don't be scared Yamame will protect you I promise!

[She lifts up her head just enough for Yamame to see her eyes.]

How...how can I not be scared? This is a strange world, there is nobody here that I'm familiar with...[Although the girl is adorable, she'll admit that.]

It's okay Kotomi-san, because you can still have friends here to help you!

Yamame was scared too, and Yamame was scared when Parsee-nee went away. You don't have to be scared though. Even a strange place becomes familiar over time.

You'll help me? You'll really...be my friend? [TEARS, THEY ARE POURING.]

Of course Yamame will be your friend! Why wouldn't I be?

[She's stopped whimpering, so that's good.]

Ah, um...I don't have...many friends.
