....ere, hopefully this thing is listening to me now. God's blood, young lady, you just gave me the shock of my life..er, death, when I heard your voice come out of this little box.

Well, if this contraption can record my voice, that makes things a damme sight easier. What I said was: Is there anyone in the city with either the tools of the er "magical" power to remove a set of manacles from one's hands?

Sorry 'bout that.

I'm sure there is. You can get practically anything in the City! At least...that's the way it was last time. I dunno whether it's still like that. You need a hand, mister?

[ooc: *attempts to stuff Gillette!muse into a trunk* ._. damn you.]

Seem to remember it being a lot like that last time I was here as well. All sorts of odd things I'd never seen before. Flying ships from the future and boxes that talked and shewed one pictures and suchlike.
Don't suppose you could point me to the nearest blacksmith or possibly cracksman with a sizable set of lockpicks, young lady? If not never mind, sure I'll run into something/someone sooner or later.

[[ooc: If you do, do I have to subtly flirt like the Norrington who came between the last time I rped and this time did?

You know, I don't think I understood the sentence I just typed.]]

...Wow.

You know you can use your voice to talk instead of trying to type, right? Button on the side makes it work.

There you-

Sort of. Okay, try again. This time hold it down.

Better? I say, this is all rather complicated. Is it some sort of very tiny clockwork? I've had the back off it, but there's nothing but some sort of block, with "Lithium Ion" written on it, and some sort of mathematical formula.

Oh dear~, are you all right?

Once I find someone with a set of lockpicks or a smithy, I shall be, young lady.

Ah, I'm afraid I'm unaware of the location of one, but I'm sure there must be someone who can help you in the City.

And how rude of me not to introduce myself. Mirka Fortuna, Duchess of Moldova. A pleasure to make your acquaintance ♥

My goodness, terribly pleased to meet you, your grace. Forgive my impoliteness in being unable to kiss your hand as is proper, but since we are communicating over the small speaking appliance, I am somewhat limited in my actions.

James? James! ... Wait, are you really back or is it that 'm only imagining it again? ... Is Beckett with you?

Voice Reply heart0foak February 4 2008, 21:26:01 UTC
J.... oh yes, we were practically friends in this accursed dream world, weren't we? How very odd.

And Beckett? Dear Lord, I hope not. Bowing and scraping to that mincing bastard for a comission was bad enough without having to suffer his company for all eternity. If I see him back here I shall run him through every morning at nine-o'clock sharp to keep him out of mischief, and with no small amount of pleasure do it again when he returns from the dead.

We were something like friends, yes.
And this time you've returned without that vile little dwarf. Thank the Gods! Not the ones here... Better ones.

Should he arrive, I will support you fully in this daily stabbing endeavor.

I think I shall thank the sensible, wholesome God I'm used to for the non-presence of "Lord" Cutler Beckett. As you say, the so-called Gods they have here were generally capricious nincompoops several rowlocks short of a full longboat.

Mad as a box of badgers, the whole place.

[[sigh]]

Speaking of mad, where's that blind twin of yours? Still here?

Fer shame, master Norrington. Let's us each at least be honest with th'other.

I think it befits me better to be merely civil, Captain Barbossa. After all, I shouldn't expect honesty from you, lest it suits you, of course, to any greater degree than you might expect it from me.
