As an aside, today I saw a few really amazing paintings by Jimmy Ernst, and a really evocative Charles E. Burchfield. Not bad, all in all.

I need sweet sleep in my bad-addled brains.

So the other day on the bus, a group of girls got on, and they were all dressed the same-- leggings for pants, college hoodie, boots like an eskimo would wear, knock-off designer bag. I suppose that if things turned out the way you imagined they would, life just wouldn't be as interesting.

Last night I slept all the way through the night, solidly. Tonight I'm having a dinner at my place for a friend's birthday. Tomorrow afternoon begins a week-long vacation from classes and work, and I'll be able to see darling sugarplums who I haven't seen since summer.
