i am so not into writing this "personal statement" junk in order to get into college. who wants to help me out? i am failing miserably at selling myself! i'm a good writer but being my own cheerleader is making me fall back into cliches. :(

dude. i had to write a personal statement to get into school and it worked for me. you should look through some of the books at borders or order one online because there are different types of statements depending on the type of school you want to get into. it helped me with sentence transitions and paragraph types. ALSO send it to as many people as you can to look over and then just close your eyes and send it in. i'd be happy to help you out with it. it was torture for me, but i finally finished and got in!

i have been pouring over websites and i even went to a workshop! although i'm confident in my writing abilities, there's something stopping me from "selling myself." it feels so cheesy.
