I think I'm at that weird age where I could still look like I'm in high school, yet also look like I could be married with a kid. So I haven't written in my journal in a long time. Things are going well here. Most of the kids I teach actually enjoy my lessons. I have a few lesson groups in which I have trouble engaging ALL the students, but I guess that comes with the "first year of teaching and how to figure it out" category. Life is hectic but the move went okay. I'm here in Ithaca and I am in the process of scheduling lessons and recruiting new players. I will update more when I have more free time (haha-free time).

I have an interview for an elementary strings position in the Ithaca City School District in NY. If worse comes to worse and I don't get the job, I will still have a job here in Illinois with the music software company. I am excited, but kind of stressed, since this was very last minute and I have to fly back east. Wish me luck!
