A few days ago, lemon-says wondered why her kids went to the ER more than her friends' kids. It all balances out in a karmic scale. My kids barf when they get colds. Curse you, post-nasal drip

Today, Katie asked me to drape a towel over her as we were driving back from the doctor's office. I thought she was cold. Next thing I knew...
I thanked her profusely for being so thoughtful in recognizing she was going to be sick. I only had to wash her jacket, shirt, and the straps of the seat.
Ugh! I understand about the puking thing. Livvie gets a fever, she pukes. Not only does she puke up any food or drink you give her, she also pukes up the medicine you give her make the fever go down so she WON'T puke. We may have to buy stock in the company that makes acetaminaphin suppositories :-P So I totally understand.*hug*
Sorry your girls are both ill this week. Hope all feel better soon...
Yesterday morning, Katie puked up her meds and her food from the night before. It was not pretty. :( I was woken up from a dead sleep by the sound of Husband in Peril. "HOOOOOOON! NEED YOU!"
I'm sorry you have a kiddo with a tremulous tummy. No fun. :(
Oh honey I am so sorry...I feel for you. Julia has always been a barfer too, big time. Ray of hope: she seems to be gradually growing out of it, hopefully you will find the same. One trick we've learned (from a friend of mine dealing with too much alcohol, actually) is to keep plastic grocery bags (no holes! This is important!!) in the car. They make great barf bags in a pinch for a kid, and you can tie off and toss!
I'm sorry about Julia. (It's comforting to know it's not just my kid, though.) They are better than they used to be when they were teeny tiny, and I appreciate that they are learning "aim". :)
Plastic grocery bags are great for many purposes. I almost always have them in the car. I learned that lesson from having daily "morning" sickness (by the way, not always in the morning!) and having a toddler.
It's not all the time, thank goodness. It's just not pleasant. I'm sure they are sick of me chasing them around going "Blow your nose! This side, now this side! NOW BLOOOOOOW!" They do not appreciate how invested I am in them not just "sucking it in."
Every kid is different, charming, and peculiar in his or her own peculiar way. I still get plastic bags at the grocery store to keep them in the car for just that reason. :(

So sorry Heather. I will not speak of Sylvia's illness peculiarities for fear of the gods striking me down.
