Yeah. Part of the rarity is likely that many horses just plain lack the flexibility to lift their leg that high in the first place!

That is by far one of the most heartwarming images I've ever seen. They are such intelligent creatures that we often fail to understand.

My hinny, Molly, does this quite often. Dirk did it once too, but I was kneeling in front of him at the time and he darn-near broke my nose. :/
