That's funny; my one and only trip to convenient care was also eye-and-sand related. I got a wodge of sand in my eye at the dog park due to an overenthusiastic Mastiff making an unscheduled stop about two feet in front of me, which threw up a TON of sand, which blew in my eye. I actually managed to get it all out, but when I woke up the next morning my eye was all swole up. Swole up like I had a second set of lips, which is neither attractive nor particularly comforting. So I toddled off to convenient care where I was told that I had a clogged tear duct. No infection, thank goodness, but as I'm certain that the sand at the dog beach is probably a petri dish chock-full o' interesting bacteria, I was very happy to have things checked out.
Yay health care!
