I warn you that this comment doesn't adequately describe how much I love this. The voices are wonderful and real. The phases of their grief feels almost tangible in the way that anyone that has experiences grief could relate. I love the way this story progresses. That it ends hopeful, that it wasn't just about Tony. The way you've built it up, it makes sense that this is something that could work long term.

Just wonderful. I hope you write more Rhodey/Pepper.

Hey hegemony.

I knew, before I read this, that Jim was gonna be bent out of shape. Cos’ he was gonna be blaming himself for Tony’s death, for being such a killjoy that Tony didn’t want to be sitting in the “hum-drum vee” with him. Party pooper, stick in the mud, the list goes on.

I was so happy while I was reading this that I sobbed and cried.

I’m not sure if they stayed at his or her home, I thought it was Jim’s crib, but I’m not entirely certain. I'm confused more than ever, after you mentioned Pepper’s neighbours.

Some of the scenes…The domestic intimacy of them, struck me. Particularly, after they had settled in better, and known each other more. Anyone who comes in unexpectedly would think that she and Jim had been taking meals like that for years, like a married couple, especially if they didn’t speak to each other. And they weren’t even a couple then, to begin with! =D

This is amazing. One of the best things I've read in a long, long time.

This was beautiful -- complex and human and real in a way that's sometimes hard to find in fanfic for superhero universes. Well done!
