So every time I have walked by Tacos el Asador I have always thought to myself, now that looks like a place that might have pretty good Mexican food. I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet, and had practically forgotten about it, so I will have to do that some day.
I didn't know that Mission Burrito had actually opened up yet. I was really excited when I read about the concept though. It's my understanding that they might be steaming burritos too! So I remain hopeful... Both are not in areas of the city that I find myself in regularly, but I will be checking them out this summer for sure.
Sounds a lot like what passed for burritos all over the east coast until just a few years ago. New York was infamous for having really crappy Mexican food (I think Gilda even once mocked NYC for it on Saturday Night Live).
Food trends move astoundingly slowly, but even North Carolina has sushi joints all over the place now. It's only a matter of time before the California style super burrito makes it to Tronno :)
And you missed the reason I'm driving 14 hours on Saturday. The actual reason I tell you. FISH TACOS! It's not rocket surgery, really, it's not. I plan to subsist on good pizza, fish tacos, good sushi, and BBQ for the next two weeks
