New York, New York

NYC is really fun. I've met so many different folks on my trip to Boston and NYC, it's awesome. Last night I went to a karaoke bar with Tom and his friends in the East Village called Sing Sing. We sang "New York, New York" together. Before that Tom and I had niu rou mien (beef noodle soup) at this place near his apartment.

Aww well I'm sure it's different when you're a grad student, there's probably not a lot of time to do as many things? I'm not sure how rigorous your program was. I'm just a tourist with no obligations at the moment.

you got rejected from uw??? that sucks. their art program is really good, according to a lot of professors at sfai. not to mention it's located in the best city ever. but good luck with your next interview!

UW is called Yale West because of the faculty's degrees. But while the ceramics dept is highly rated, I'd say painting is mediocre. And Seattle is the best city (minus the microsoft/suv yuppies)!

Wow I did not know that! Oh good I'm glad their painting isn't great. I will probably visit my parents when they retire there anyway so I won't be missing out on Seattle at least. How's life after grad school? You graduated right?

yeah... I didn't see that coming! Granted, I didn't know anything about their program. Well I will soon see Seattle once the 'rents go about getting their house there. Can't wait. Thanks!

Thanks! No I left NYC today for Boston. I'm coming back to SF the 18th. We should meet up after that when you're back in the Bay area.
