Art School Confidential #202: Weird scary art kids
I almost forgot that going to art school you get some weird scary art students as classmates. I have to admit that I am one of the more "normal" art school students (my art school friends have told me so) and am proud of it. I make more friends that way. Art School Confidential
Tomorrow I'm getting my art studio. When I was taking art classes in Long Beach it was really convenient having a car to drive my canvases and art supplies to and from class. Especially when I had a huge canvas that measured 3 feet x 3 feet. I've lugged my art supplies to school before without a car...I've even brought a huge 48"x24" canvas onto ( Read more... ) -
Boston
I just had too much white wine. 2 glasses to be exact. I guess that cup of delicious coffee oreo ice cream isn't enough for me combat my very light weight self. Taking the shuttle into Boston bright and early this morning and seeing the red brick buildings and general East Coast-ness made me giddy and in awe of something so new and different from ( Read more... ) -
Update before I leave
Still here in SoCal. My plane leaves at 9 pm tonight from the Long Beach Airport. JetBlue! God I love those terra blue potato chips they serve on the flight. I like the Long Beach airport, mostly because you get to walk up up the stairs onto your plane parked on the tarmac like on Mad Men or some '60s movie ( Read more... ) -
Moving/Shipping across the country
Friends who have moved across the country, what is the cheapest company to ship boxes to the opposite coast? USPS, UPS, Fedex? Any other tips about moving, shipping to the East Coast will be much appreciated.
