My show is less than 2 weeks away. 2 small paintings are done. 1 medium one is started. Am frantically trying to finish it today. Need to turn them in tomorrow! Beautiful day in SF.

It was a packed weekend. On Saturday there was a potluck at Anna's apartment in Potrero Hill. Beautiful view of the City from her roof. Sunday was L's birthday at Tilden Park in Berkeley, where we had a bbq and swam in the lovely Lake Anza. It was like being very far away in the country even though we weren't that far away from the city.

It's evening and I'm at the Velo Rouge Cafe on my laptop. It's a cold brisk night in San Francisco, reminiscent of autumn weather, though it is technically summer right now. The cafe's dark red walls are lit and music is playing in the background.

Just got back from spending the 4th of July weekend in Long Beach. It was hot as heck down in LA county, I forgot how hot it can get. Thankfully Long Beach is closer to the ocean than the rest of the inland counties so it was nice and breezy. I will be down again July 26th so I can see more of my friends ( Read more... )

I was away on a canoe/camping trip this past weekend at the Russian River. It was a birthday present from Andrew. It was very fun, though I went through the worst pain I had ever felt in my life afterwards. It wasn't so much that my arms were sore after hours of paddling as much as the pain that was shooting up and down my arms and hands.
