i went to visit Bard College today, it was amazing/beautiful/perfect for me, except there's something holding me back. i guess knowing if i do go there, there is a real existing distance between me and peter, and even him living in the city now is a bit hard for me. i think i would fit in Bard really well, so now my top favorite colleges are Bard,

If you think about it, Bard is really not that far from the city at all. You can still continue a relationship, especially if you'll be able to get a car up there (or take the train -- also an easy alternative).

You should also think more about your future instead of having a major factor of that being about Petahhhhh. It's your decision, but it's just something I've regretted: deciding on something really, really important on something that's somewhat out of your control.
