Wow. I loved this! I love that you didn't shy away from this dark subject matter. Hurt/comfort fic is some of my favorite fic to read when it's handled respectfully and honestly the way you did here. Your characterizations were SO spot on, especially the way the trust and friendship between Cal and Gillian. Basically this is one of my favorite and one of the best fics I've ever read!
