This is just one of the best stories... even though it delves into this dark side of what some sicko's do to get off.
But by the end I was back to normal again... cause when I first read the summary I was a bit hesitant to read, but as I read on, I was a flurry of emotions, anger, disgust, shame (yes Cal/Gillian adorn my desk top and I was finding it hard to look at them when I was almost half way through), a bit of embarrassment and a smidge of arousal...
But I just love how it didn't really work out to be one of those "I-Was-Just-Forced-To-Rape-My-Best-Friend-And-Now-She-Wont-Talk-To-Me fics.
It was just calming/reassuring to see that Gillian trusted Cal enough to know that he wasn't going to hurt her and she just opened up to him in that tiny moment, not that many Cal/Gillian shipper's would call it a moment, but it was just... wow!!! A very powerful piece of writing...

Thanks for your comments, both here and on ff.net. I can appreciate your mixed reactions to the story. It wasn't an easy one to write. I liked being able to find a light in the darkness, and the harrowing start made for a more hopeful end, I think.

This was amazing and handled superbly. All of the characters were in character and the events seemed so real at times. An amazing read and definitely one of the harder ones I've experienced, but the ending was so worth it and believable!

OMG. I just have to say that no matter what I keep coming back to your fic. Angsty fiction normally makes me go like 'eww' so I normally don't do angst. The one just feels right and I see it happening with the characters, it's just that good.

Wow, this has to be one of the most emotionally draining fics I've ever read. The first part was downright painful to read because I could feel their desperation as if it were real. I'm very glad for the second part because it made me believe that they have a real chance to come to terms with what happened and even might be able to have a future together.
