Last night, I hid in the bathroom from my children and ate an entire box of peanut butter cookies.

Also, today Pants lifted her dress up over her chest and said "Spring Break!"  James should not teach her things while I'm gone. :/

So, 5-6 weeks must be about the time when our babies go from squalling loaves of bread to tiny persons exibiting the beginnings of personality.  Charlie has started to find her smile, more and more as each day passes, and she's just started making noises that aren't crying (the famed cooing they always tell you about - it's amazing).  I'm also ( Read more... )

Okay, it's true, I'm in love.  Yes, her poop DOES stink (the thing about breast-fed babies is a lie), and yes, she never lets me sleep, especially at night (haven't been to bed before 4am in over a week), but dang if she isn't sweet and enthralling.  Her yawns and gums endlessly amaze me.

Two weeks ago, I looked like this - a house with a child living on top and on bottom.  Pants loved that my ginormous belly made a good shelf for her to sit on.  It was less comfortable for me.  :)

So, roughly a week ago today, our Charlie arrived (hence my recent lack of communication).

Apparently, I scarred my Dad with my pregnant icon - he freaked out and said he hadn't seen me naked since I was like 6 or something - well Dad, if you're brave enough to come back to this site, know that I wasn't totally naked, so it doesn't count, I was 8+ months pregnant, which takes away all potential weirdness, AND, since that picture was ( Read more... )

The child broke my glasses today, so my head REALLY hurts since I've been screen-squinting this evening.  :(

I'm REALLY hoping the place I got said glasses will repair them for free because we've spent about $2,000 in car repairs in the last 2 months, the midwife wants her money, and we have like NO savings left.  :(
