After three emergencies and absolutely no routine appointments (all animals were sick, so no annual exams or acupuncture), I was pretty frazzled at the end of the day. Dr. P's last client came in, and I went in the room to talk to them. I don't think the woman answered one single question that I asked her ( Read more... )

Lady bugs are canabals, and people are really stupid. Lets kill them all.

Um, Craig? You're icon is scary. It looks like you're suggesting that we nuke the ladybugs.

LOL--I was *so* frazzled. This was the last appointment of the day. It was after giving the 20lb cat three enemas and doing three x-rays on him. Every time we had to work on this cat, I got a fucking adrenaline rush. Do you know how much of a roller coaster ride it is to have 4-5 adrenaline rushes during the day? It was after our blood machine gave us weird results and made us think that a dog (who was in for routine bloodwork) was bleeding internally. Fortunately, we discovered a clot in the blood tube, which was what made the results weird. It was the day that I get to play boss because I'm the sr. person there, which means a staff member is asking me a question every 5-10 minutes. I think I would have found the situation much more humorous if I weren't so stressed. :) It was a horribly busy day. Dr. Pat was stressed, and when Dr. Pat is tense, EVERYBODY is tense. I was ready to strangle that woman.

Giving ANY cat an enema has got to be a very scary
experience for everyone involved.

Giving a 20 lb cat several enemas is just death-defying.
That can only go bad.
You have my sympathy.
