Conor Oberst was so drunk that he couldn't finish his encore. At one point he broke down when he forgot the words to Road to Joy and covered his face with his hands for a good minute or so while he remembered. He climbed onto the risers his string section was on and fell backwards onto his cellist. He fucked up chord changes and lyrics. I'm angry.

i've seen footage of a lot of shows where he's sober. he's funny, he's sharp, he's not falling all over the place.

so no. alcohol makes him into a moron. not a beautiful moron. just a moron.

I was at a show earlier, and the band was playing great. However, the crowd sucked. It ruined the entire experience for me.
