Oh, they are amazing. See them in a small venue if you can, because they're super friendly and approachable dudes as well. Even when you're babbling Wayne's World-style at them, like I was!
Nergal of Behemoth didn't INSIST on getting a better picture with you after the first one turned out too dark and then procede to make small-talk with you for fifteen minutes while the next band set up.
I'm always a little surprised when dudes from famous metal bands end up being really nice, but I suppose it's not really that surprising considering how much metal depends on the love of rabid fans for success, and probably those dudes remember what it was like to be stammering compliments at their favorite bands years ago.
Eh, no sacrilege here - I've never been a big Mayhem fan. I blame this on my friend Lawrence saying that the vocals reminded him of Popeye, which ruined them forever for me. But I did like their drunken interview in Metal: A Headbanger's Journey.

I once saw Nile play with Strapping Young Lad, Napalm Death and Voivod. That was back in '02, though, and I definitely want to see them again.

p.s. Nifelheim > Mayhem, hardcore. It's sacrilege, I know, but... Mayhem were just boring in comparison.
