The journey begins
We got to the airport early and are set to leave for LA and then China tomorrow. There was a minor problem with the tickets, but the clerk fixed that real quick. So other than my heart stopping for that moment, it's been smooth. Will be eating with E's godparents tonight. Will let you know how that goes.

New Season, New Approach
With spring finally arriving, I have decided to take a new approach to learning Mandarin. I am using the Pimsleur's Mandarin. One of the biggest problems I had was actually listening to my Mandarin CD's or studying my flash cards. So I have decided to walk to and from work. I am about 30mins away. Comfort Food
Maybe it's because of its simplicity or it might be because of the good memories, but I think I have discovered that there is nothing better home-made bruschetta. I love Italian food and this is becoming a front-runner. Some things never change and a few random thoughts
Since the weather has taken a turn towards the bottom of the thermostat, I figured it was a good time to use my last credit to the KU student rec center (when I originally attended KU, I paid dues, but the place hadn't opened yet, thus credits). Losing my voice
The title is meant literally, not in terms of my opinion. The first time I lost my voice was after I proposed to my lovely wife. The weird part about that, I was not sick in the least. Around the world in 25 hours...
Ok, so it was to Chicago and back, but it was dark and the landscape wasn't visible, so its possible I took the long route. Sure felt like it. I left Lawrence around 10:30P to go pick up E's brother to take him to college. In this case, college was Northwestern.
